Speed Post
It is an Express Mail express service and the EMS Co-operative
service for letters and documents offered in league with the international. It
was started in August 1986 for providing time-bound and express delivery of
letters, documents and parcels across the nation. It links more than 1200 towns
in India, with 315 centers in the national network and around 1000 centers in
the state network. For regular users, Speed Post provides delivery ‘anywhere in
India’ under contractual service. Online Tracking facility & S M S status
reporting is available for Domestic EMS,International EMS.

For corporate customers, Speed
Post provides ‘Home collection’, credit facilities, on-line tracking, account
management and personalized services. Presently 89 sorting hubs are functioning
for fast mail transmission. The mails are transmitted through air, train and
roads, and for internal transmission M MS (Mail Motor Service) vehicles are
used. The articles addressed to Metro cities may be delivered in next day means
booking day + 1(one) day.

Business Post provides ‘Total mailing solutions’ to the businesses
from initial packing- transmission & delivery of mail. It is a one-stop
shop service that manages entire mail-out process, for small businesses as well
as large companies. Customers can choose from a range of cost-effective and
professional mailing services, including printing, collating, inserting,
sealing, and addressing to meet their specific business needs. In order to
speed up the mail delivery, special dispatch direct to destination post office
and special delivery arrangements can also be made under Business Post.

Express Parcel Post
Express Post Parcel service ensures Fast and reliable delivery of
parcels, Express Parcel Post is an ideal service for sending the parcels up to
35;kg within India. Express Post Parcel provides free pick & drop facility
to the customers for parcels up to 35; kg. It costs just INR 25 within the city
for 2; kg parcels and INR 40 for towns within 500; km. In case of loss or
damage of the parcel, compensation is paid up to a maximum of INR 500. Each
consignment is given a unique bar code number for identification starting with
X P. It enables us to track the consignments easily at every stage from booking
till delivery. Express Parcel Post is all about providing total distribution
solutions to the customers’ .This is a contractual service based on business
agreement between the Department of Posts and the customer. Express Parcel Post
services are also available for the retail customers at Retail Parcel rates.
The express parcels can be booked at any of the Speed Post booking centers
across the country. Express Parcel Post consignments can be sent to all Express
Post Centers in the country, thus providing a very vast network, spanning major
towns.

Greeting
Post
Greeting Post is yet another innovative product of India Post
comprises a card with envelop with per-printed postage stamp upon the envelope.
The envelope contains multicolored embossed stamp (which is a miniature replica
of the design that appears upon the card) of 5; cm x 4; cm x 3; cm of the
denomination of INR 5/- written on the stamp. Thus you need not affix postage
stamps on the envelope thus saving your time of going to post offices and
standing in the queue. The Greeting Card also has in built a round stamp in
gray blue on the back of the card precisely on the flap. All the rules and
regulations for the postage dues will be applicable to the Greeting Post. As
per the current rules, INR 5/- postage entitles the sender to send the article
to any part of the country up to 20; grams. The same rule will be applicable
for the Greeting Post also.

Logistics Post
It was launched in 2004-05 to carry parcels and large consignments
across the nation and around the world. It has no weight limit. It manages the
entire distribution side of the logistics infrastructure from collection to
distribution, from storage to carriage, from order preparation to order
fulfillment. It is ideal for sending large consignments including multipurpose
-parcels, just-in-time parcels, bulk-break consignments and goods of any
weight. It offers physical logistics services as well as comprehensive supply
chain management services.

Flat Rate Parcel Service (Domestic & International)
With the Indian economy growing at a very fast pace, the express
parcel industry has been growing consistently. As a part of business strategy
and with a view to restructure its parcel business, Department of Post has
launched Flat Rate Parcel (Domestic & international) Service.Flat Rate
Parcel provides an added convenience to the customers by offering them pre-paid
Flat Rate Parcel boxes in different weight slab as per the requirement of
customers. Flat Rate Parcel is an air express service under the brand 'Parcel
Post' and provides time bound delivery of parcels.The Flat Rate Parcel boxes
are available in three capacities viz. 1 Kg, 2.5 Kg and 5 Kg for sale. These
corrugated boxes are specially designed to ensure safe and secure transmission
and delivery of the consignments. The Flat Rate Parcel boxes are sold at
identified Post Offices only, while they can be booked at all computerized Post
Offices. These parcels will be delivered across India including in rural areas
& international.
